Ellen is the founder and Senior Managing Partner
of Improve Consulting and Training, a
firm that provides personal and professional development training, coaching
and consultation for youth and adults in transition.

training and encouragement.

secondary and post-secondary education.

She is the author of the workshop curricula “Personal Positioning:
Building Personal Brand Equity” and “Don’t Just Think Outside
the Box, Make the Box Bigger.” She is the author of the book “Canine
Instinct: A Guide to Survival and Advancement in Corporate America.”
Ellen is also an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University
in the Weatherhead School of Management MBA program and the Macromolecular
Science and Engineering PhD Program.
Dr. Ellen Burts-Cooper, a Weatherhead Affiliate Instructor,
is currently a Senior Vice President and Director of IT Performance
Management, Governance and Technology College Relations at PNC Financial
Services. She is responsible for a team of quality engineers, who develop, monitor
and improve IT metrics, by leading continuous improvement and business process
reengineering efforts for various lines of business. She is also responsible
for bringing in new talent into the Technology Organization.
